My name is Lisa Giesbrecht and I am happy to be a part of Westmount’s wonderful Grade One team!  This is my 12th year at Westmount and I’ve been both a grade one and Kindergarten teacher here.  I’ve also been an Early Literacy teacher for Golden Hills and love bringing my knowledge and passion for learning to read to my grade one students.  It’s so exciting to see how far they come as readers and writers in one short year!  I love to learn new things together with my students and always try to instill a love of learning.

I’ve lived in Strathmore with my family for 19 years.  We moved from Manitoba, where I love to go back to every summer to spend time at my family’s cottage at the lake.  I also love to travel and try to go on a special holiday and visit somewhere new each year. 

I’m looking forward to another exciting year here at Westmount!
